About the Position
Non-Denominational — 20 - 30 Regular Attenders — Full-Time Position — $40,000 - $60,000
Benton Christian Community Church is an elder-led congregation seeking a Senior Pastor to serve as the primary spiritual leader of the church. In keeping with our understanding of Scripture and church governance, the Senior Pastor serves alongside the Elders and must meet the biblical qualifications for eldership.
The Senior Pastor will be responsible for preaching and teaching God’s Word, providing pastoral leadership, establishing and reinforcing the spiritual culture of the church, equipping the congregation for evangelism and discipleship, and shepherding the spiritual life of the church. This role requires demonstrated experience in evangelism, discipling new believers, and leading ministry with a builder’s mindset oriented toward growth, momentum, and multiplication within a rural or small-community context.
This position is best suited for a pastor who brings planter instincts—someone comfortable building ministry systems, developing leaders, forming culture, and taking responsibility for growth rather than inheriting it.
In accordance with our biblical convictions regarding church leadership (1 Timothy 2:12; 1 Timothy 3:1–7; Titus 1:5–9), the Senior Pastor position is open to qualified male candidates.
