What We Believe

Below is a short outline with a simple explanation of our values. You can find our full Statement of Beliefs at the bottom of the page.

01

God

There is one true God who has always existed and needs nothing outside Himself. He has shown Himself as the great “I AM” and has made Himself known as a God of relationship. God exists as three equal and distinct persons at the same time: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

Deut. 6:4; Mark 12:29; Isa. 43:10–11; Matt. 28:19

02

The Scriptures

The Bible is the inspired Word of God. It is God’s message to people and is our trustworthy guide for what we believe and how we live. The Bible is greater than human thoughts or feelings, but it does not go against reason.

2 Tim. 3:15–17; 1 Pet. 1:23–25; Heb. 4:12

03

Fallen Humanity

God created people good and upright, saying, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness.” But people chose to sin and fell away from God. Our only hope of being made right again is through Jesus Christ, the Son of God. Without Christ, no one can be saved, because everyone has sinned and fallen short of God’s glory.

Gen. 1:26–31; Gen. 3:17; Rom. 5:12–21; Rom. 3:23

04

Hope of Salvation

God’s grace, which brings salvation, has been made known to all people. God’s Son became human, died on the cross for our sins, and rose from the dead in His physical body. When people turn to God in repentance and place their faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, they are saved by the work of the Holy Spirit, who gives new life and renews them. By God’s grace, they are made right with Him and become heirs of God, with the hope of eternal life. This happens as a person confesses Jesus as Lord and believes in their heart that God raised Him from the dead, and they are made righteous before God.

Titus 2:11; 3:5–7; John 1:14; Phil. 2:6–8; Isa. 53:5; Acts 2:23; 1 Cor. 15:3–4; Luke 24:39; John 20:27; Rom. 10:9, 13–15; Luke 24:47; 2 Cor. 5:21

Life is Relationship

We believe life is relationship. It begins with God—the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. We love God because He first loved us, and we love others as we love ourselves. When we remain in His love, we truly have life.

John 17:3; John 5:19–20; John 15:26; John 16:13–14; Matt. 3:16–17; John 17:21–23; Matt. 28:19; 2 Cor. 13:14; 1 John 4:19; Matt. 22:37–40; John 15:1–17; 1 John 5:11–12; John 3:16–17

06

The Ongoing Work of
The Holy Spirit

All believers should desire and expect the Promise of the Father, which is the baptism in the Holy Spirit. Through this, believers receive power to live for God and to serve Him, along with spiritual gifts used in ministry. This experience can be separate from and come after being born again.

Luke 24:49; Acts 1:4–8; 1 Cor. 12:1–31; 1Cor. 14:1-5; Acts 2:38; 8:12–18a; 9:17–18; 10:44–46; 11:14–16; 15:7–9; 19:1–7

07

Sanctification

The Bible teaches that without holiness no one can see the Lord. We believe that sanctification is a real work of God’s grace that begins when a person is born again and continues as they grow in Christ until salvation is completed when Jesus returns.

Heb. 12:14; 1 Thess. 5:23; 2 Pet. 3:18; 2 Cor. 3:18; Phil. 3:12–14; 1 Cor. 1:30

08

The Kingdom of God

The Kingdom of God has always existed, but it was revealed and brought near in a new way through the life, death, resurrection, and ascension of Jesus Christ. Today, the Kingdom is at work in the world through the power of the Holy Spirit. When people repent and believe, they are brought into the Kingdom now and experience its transforming work—new life, righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit. The Kingdom will be fully completed when Christ returns. Until then, the Church lives as a witness to the Kingdom by sharing the gospel, making disciples, and living under the rule of Christ with faithful obedience, trusting that God’s purposes are moving forward as creation waits to be fully restored.

Mark 1:14–15; Luke 16:16; 17:20–21; Rom. 14:17; Col. 1:13; Matt. 6:10; 1 Cor. 15:24–26; Rev. 11:15; 21:1–4; Matt. 28:18–20; Acts 1:6–8
